TUNIS – UNIVERSNEWS – Malgré le défrichement sans autorisation, les incendies ravageurs estivaux et l’abattage illicite des arbres, le gouvernorat de Kairouan, avec une flore couvrant plus de 80 mille hectares, procure toute une série de bienfaits économiques et sociaux à travers l’emploi, les produits forestiers provenant essentiellement de la cueillette des sommités florales de certaines plantes médicinales dont notamment le romarin, en abondance dans le nord-ouest du gouvernorat de Kairouan.
Des milliers de familles continuent en effet de vivre de la cueillette de ces sommités et de nombreux industriels vivent de l’extraction de son huile dont une grande partie est destinée à l’exportation.
Ces plantes, et depuis la nuit des temps ont été utilisées pour prévenir ou traiter plusieurs pathologies.
1ere journée de la plante médicinale
c’est dans ce cadre que le centre des études islamiques de Kairouan a organisé dimanche 4 décembre 2022 en collaboration avec la faculté de médecine Ibn Jazzar de Sousse la 1ère journée de la plante médicinale ’avec la participation d’éminents spécialistes dans le domaine. Une journée au cours de laquelle des communications ont été présentées sur :
- les plantes médicinales et le cancer
- les plantes médicinales et l’Alzheimer
- Les vertus thérapeutiques de l’olivier, du laurier et de la figue de barbarie
- la théorie médicale arabo-musulmane pour le traitement des maladies soignées à partir des plantes médicinales d’Ibnou Sina, auteur du ‘Canoun (loi) de la médecine’, comme référence.
Ces conférences ont été animées respectivement par Pr Bassam Charfeddine, Dr Mohamed Ali Smach, Dr Lamia Abdellaoui de la faculté de médecine de Sousse et Dr Noureddine Seffi, professeur de philosophie et inspecteur général au ministère de l’éducation à la retraite.
Quelques jours auparavant, le Centre des études islamiques dirigé par Dr Abdellaoui a abrité un Colloque international sur thème ‘La société du savoir et les exigences du développement durable’
Et une autre pour la valorisation des plantes médicinales
Une autre journée a été organisée vendredi 2 décembre 2022 par l’association tunisienne de la protection de l’environnement et de l’emploi (ATPE-PRO) présidée par Mr Sayed Mahdouani, président de cette association et ingénieur général des forêts, à la retraite. Cette association œuvre pour le développement et la protection du secteur des plantes médicinales, en abondance dans la région et également pour la sensibilisation des citoyens et les jeunes diplômés du supérieur et les femmes en quête d’emploi , à la recherche de financement et à investir dans ce secteur prometteur pour créer de petits projets afin de valoriser ces plantes à l’instar du romarin.
