TUNIS – UNIVERSNEWS – A l’occasion du festival « Il Cinema Ritrovato 2023 » à Bologne, le cinéma tunisien se distingue en Italie en obtenant le prix Vittorio Boarini fondateur de la Cinémathèque de Bologne décerné au réalisateur et producteur Mohamed Challouf et à travers la parution d’un nouveau livre qui s’intitule « Albert Samama Chikli », édité en italien et en anglais, par la Cinémathèque de Bologne sous la direction de l’historienne Mariann Lewinsky.
Organisé du 24 juin au 2 juillet 2023, la 37ème édition de «Il Cinema Ritrovato » a rendu hommage à Albert Samama Chikli en consacrant un cycle de projections de copies restaurées de films de ce pionnier du cinéma tunisien et africain. Cette séance de projections a été introduite par Mehdi Taibi de la Cinémathèque française et Mariann Lewinsky qui est au comité d’organisation d’Il Cinema Ritrovato et chercheuse et historienne sur le cinéma muet qui travaille à la Cinémathèque de Bologne.
Semama Chekli était à l’honneur pour la troisième fois (2015, 2022 et 2023) à Bologne à travers la Section « The Samama Chekli project » par une série de projections de ses films.
« Il Cinema Ritrovato » 2023 a eu lieu dans 6 salles et des espaces outdoor de la ville de Bologne, au nord de l’Italie. Les projections en plein air étaient entre «Piazza Maggiore » une Place dédiée à la projection de copies restaurées des grands classiques du cinéma mondial et pouvant accueillir jusqu’à 5000 places et « Piazzetta Pier Paolo Pasolini » qui est moins spacieuse de près de 500 places et présente des films muets en ciné-concerts avec d’anciens appareils de projection.
Ce festival constitue un rassemblement d’envergure dédié au cinéma du patrimoine qui réunit au-delà des cinéphiles, un grand nombre de spécialistes dans la restauration des films majoritairement les dirigeants des Cinémathèques issus des cinq Continents.
