TUNIS – UNIVERSNEWS – La Conférence internationale sur la migration et le développement qui s’est tenue à Rome, est comme une montagne qui a accouché d’une souris. Les participants à cette manifestation organisé, en réponse à l’appel du président Kaïs Saïed –une initiative dont la présidente du Conseil italien, Georgia Meloni s’en est appropriée- ont convenu de s’engager à lutter contre le trafic d’êtres humains et à accroître la coopération dans des domaines tels que les énergies renouvelables pour lutter contre le changement climatique et améliorer l’avenir des pays pauvres.
Ils ont convenu, selon ce que Meloni a confirmé lors d’une conférence de presse tenue dimanche soir sur le lieu de la conférence au ministère italien des Affaires étrangères et de la Coopération internationale, que les participants représentant plus de 20 pays ont convenu de fournir le financement nécessaire pour soutenir les projets de développement.

Le président de la République, Kaïs Saïed, avait marqué son terrain et annoncé, dans son discours lors de la séance d’ouverture de la conférence que la question de la migration irrégulière ne peut être traitée ni unilatéralement ni par des accords bilatéraux, proposant la création d’une institution financière mondiale qui transfère les dettes des pays africains et les fonds pillés après leur récupération dans des projets de développement.
Il a également réaffirmé que la Tunisie n’acceptera pas d’être une terre d’installation clandestine pour les migrants, ni une voie de passage et ne protégera que ses côtes.
