- Les bénéfices des banques tunisiennes (58,12%) dépassent du loin ceux réalisés par des banques similaires au Maroc (23,6%) et en France (10,23%)
TUNIS – UNIVERSNEWS – «Les bénéfices des banques, provenant des prêts octroyés à l’État tunisien sur le long terme, ont augmenté de 58,12% au cours de la dernière décennie. Toutefois, ces banques pourraient faire face à des risques au niveau des fonds propres, en cas de défaut de paiement de l’État», a indiqué l’Association de Lutte contre l’Économie de Rente en Tunisie (ALERT).
ALERT a précisé, lors d’une rencontre organisée, récemment, sur l’évolution des bénéfices des banques provenant de l’endettement public, que le total des bons du Trésor assimilables- BTA (mobilisés comme outil utilisé par les banques pour prêter à l’État à long terme), s’élevait à environ 23908,85 millions de dinars (MD) au cours de la période 2011-2022, alors que le rendement de ces BTA est de l’ordre de 13894,93 MD.
L’association a estimé, ainsi, que les bénéfices réalisées par les banques tunisiennes, au cours de cette période (58,12%) dépassent du loin ceux réalisés par des banques similaires au Maroc (23,6%) et en France (10,23%).
Par ailleurs, elle a fait savoir que l’entrée en vigueur attendue de normes comptables internationales IFRS 9 « Instruments financiers » aurait des répercussions négatives sur les banques, si celles-ci continuent à financer l’État et à distribuer des bénéfices sur ses actionnaires.
Ces données reflètent l’importance des marges bénéficiaires des banques obtenues à travers les souscriptions aux bons de trésor, en tirant profit du besoin de Etat en liquide pour combler le déficit budgétaire qui est passé de 3,1% en 2011 à 7,6% en 2022, selon les données publiées par le ministère des finances.
ALERT précise que les dettes de l’Etat contractées auprès des banques représentent 80% du total de ses ressources propres.
Selon les données publiées par la banque centrale de Tunisie (BCT) le 04 juillet 2023, le total des Bons de trésor a atteint à près de 24046,5 millions de dinars contre 19926,7 millions de dinars en 2022.
Selon les mêmes données, le volume du refinancement de la BCT destiné aux banques a atteint 15306,5 millions de dinars contre 9937,6 millions de dinars en 2022.
