TUNIS – UNIVERSNEWS – La ville de Tunis a obtenu deux prix au sommet « Leadership for smart cities : investing in inclusive and sustainable cities of future » (leadership pour des villes intelligentes : investir dans les villes inclusives et durables de l’avenir), tenu à Kigali au Rwanda du 06 au 08 septembre en cours.
Plus de 1000 participants et une cinquantaine d’exposants ont pris part aux travaux du Sommet et ont débattu les moyens de lever les défis pour transformer les villes africaines en des villes intelligentes et durables qui profitent des développements technologiques pour améliorer la qualité de vie des citoyens.
Selon un communiqué publié sur la page officielle du ministère des technologies de la communication, un rapport réalisé par un groupe d’experts, dans le cadre d’un partenariat entre le Programme les Nations Unies pour les établissements humains (UN HABITAT) et l’Alliance pour une Afrique intelligente (Smart Africa), a classé la ville de Tunis parmi les premières villes africaines dotées d’une bonne infrastructure numérique et dont les services numériques fournis aux citoyens sont développés.
Les prix ont été décernés au ministre des technologies de la communication, Nizar Ben Néji, qui a participé aux travaux d’une session sur la connexion des villes intelligentes de l’avenir au cours de laquelle l’accent a été mis sur l’importance de développer l’infrastructure digitale pour garantir une égalité des chances dans l’accès aux services numériques.
